Here is a question I have heard varying opinion about, Can you connect two 12 volt power supplies together in parallel. Say 1 power supply is 20 a amp and is a little week to carry a 100 watt transmi
I wouldn't. No two power supplies will ever have the same exact output voltage. Right now my station runs off of two large12VDC SLA batteries in parallel with a 500mw wall wart to keep them charged.
Casey If the supplies were "identical" then you could IF there is an equalizing resistor in output of each supply. Realistically, it isn't worth it. K0UYA -- Original Message -- From: "R. Casey Case"
The problem with connecting 2 12V dc regulated power supplies in parallel, is that the regulating circuits start interacting with eachother, each one trying to regulate its own circuitry to the setpo
When I was active on AMSAT birds I used a TE Systems amplifier that needed mucho amperage at twelve volts, and ended up paralleling two Astrons. There was a marked difference when the Positive polari
