Hi Jeff, If you can get her running good, the FT-101 (especially the E,EE,EX models), is a terrific rig. I still use mine after 25 years. With proper care, I am still using the tubes installed in 197

Thanks for the info!... Fyi.. I put in lamps from radio shack .. the radio shack ones were 14v/200ma. They also had some that were 240ma. Seems to work just great. (http://pages.sbcglobal.net/jlc/ft-
