- Hello! A good antenna for 80M. Mostly for contests and DX work. Im not a electronic freak so it would be nice with a simple antenna. 73 de sm3wmv es cuagn! -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/an

- Hi again! When making a vertical deltaloop i should have 1/4 75ohm coax before connectening it to the 50ohm cabel, is that right? Thanks for the tips! 73 de sm3wmv / Mike! -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.c

- Yes that is right. The impedance of a delta loop is 100 ohms at resonance. A lambda/4 matching section of 75 Ohm cable will give close to a 1:1 VSWR into 50 Ohms.. The Formula to calculate the 1/4 wa

- Hi Mike, You can match a delta loop directly to 50 ohms by operating it a bit "squashed". Doing this has a number of benefits. You get a bit more gain (the veritcal radiators are a bit farther apart)

- Mike The feedpoint impedance of a vertically polarized delta loop will vary with the shape. If it is not too high -- the bottom wire is long and the corner angles are acute -- the impedance may be ne
