I don't think there is a "standard" per-se. The serial number field was recently enlarged from 4 to 5 digits (characters), that accounts for the change you saw. CT takes the space between the fields

.res was just a k1ea thing i think. you might want to look at LogConv by ka5wss at http://www.qsl.net/ka5wss/logconv/, it seems to do a reasonable job reading the various ct versions. in converting 8
