I recently purchased a Dell laptop which has no LPT ports. It has 2 usb ports. I run CTWIN version 10. I have tried several usb to parallel adaptors to try and cw key the radio. Did I make a mistake

Actually Ken you are pretty much modern. Most modern day 'home' computers, which is what 95% of us use, have one serial and one parallel port. I just had to replace all our 'home' computers because o

Hi Mal, Many new PC's do not have a parallel port and many don't have serial ports, especially laptop PC's. Many of us take laptops on dxpeditions. N2TK, Tony Actually Ken you are pretty much modern.

Hi Rick, I bought a Belkin USB to Serial adapter that has worked well for me (about $80 a year ago and in a DX4WIN application). Belkin may also have a USB to Parallel adapter. You may want to check
