- We are planning on trying out a 1/4 wave vert on 160M this year. Altitude is 6000 feet. What kind of wire do we use (KW power) and how do you tie the balloon to the wire/line ... do you hang the wire

- As far as the wire size goes, 1kw into a 50-ohm load translates into less than 4.5 amps per Ohm's Law, so the wire doesn't have to be too large. I'd be more concerned with two other items: 1) Breakin
