The operator on 80 meters at 1257Z said he was going to QSY to 160, QRX 5. Although it was about ten minutes after our peak, we never heard anything (W7LR, N7NG and NE9Z). At 1315 or so, NE9Z reporte

Heard VK9WM calling cq up 2 on 1809 at 0840, S7-8 signal with S5 noise floor so almost couldn't believe it. There must have still been some grayline help at that time. He called cq up 2 for about 5 m

I worked VK9WM on 1809 kHz this AM at 1022Z. There was a pile of stations calling 5 up, so I tried calling about 4.5 kHz up - it didn't work. As soon as I moved to exactly 5 up they came right back.
