- FWIW: I worked a contest station in the Azores on Friday night and he told me my signal (from the west coast) was strong. His signal was holding its own with Caribbean stations on the east beverage.

- Very strong USA stations were heard calling Eu for a long time with beverage rx aerials. When the vertical or carolina windom at 100ft was used for rx very little of the stations calling were heard.

- Well, the intrusion of the horde of SSB "splatter-meisters" into the traditionally CW DX segmented part of the band this weekend wasn't a complete loss -- I managed to work more than a few Caribbean
