Yes. More than once I've worked a cluster spot (or even a guy who doesn't identify) and either asked for his call or hung around until I copy it on the air. And I very much like the advice in N7DF's

I was always under the impression that RST signals were created for CW not phone use. S meter readings are not very meaningful either since everybodys s meter reads different. Comments like strong si

Exactly right! This has certainly been my experience on the T33C, K7C, and N8S expeditions. It's pretty simple: DX station: CQ CQ (call) UP 2 calling station: W6XXX DX station: W6XXX 5NN calling stat
