- John, That was the W1FB, Doug Demaw preamp from QST, Aug. 1988. I too built one and discovered there is an error in the ratio of T2. The impedance ratio should be 112:1 to match the output of the MC1

- John, The preamp is from QST, August 1988, pages 22-24 titled "Preamplifier for 80- and 160-M Loop and Beverage Antennas" Took a while to find it. Could remember seeing it in my reprint file but not
