Hi all, I am planning on building an antenna that requires 5 different capacitors in series with the antenna to tune the whole of 160 meters. Does anyone have some ideas on how to switch between the

4 relais should do the trick and a diode matrix 0v-/-12v/+12v wright ? Hi all, I am planning on building an antenna that requires 5 different capacitors in series with the antenna to tune the whole o

Ben, You can always try using half wave sections of ladderline and open frame relays capable of the voltages. The half wavelength line repeats the impedeance it sees on the other end, i.e. open or cl

Hi All, Herb's method is a bit tricky. Some alternatives: 1. Use a remote relay box like a remote antenna relay, but just pick the capacitor you want in series with the antenna. Let the others float,

Stubs have their place, but not in an application like this. Stubs have very low Q (typically 20-60 for less than 1/4 wl of open wire line) so they increase loss. The stub itself decreases bandwidth

Thank you everybody for your very helpful ideas! The capacitors that I will be switching are in series with the antenna, so I believe that there will be (relatively) low voltages across the relays. T
