Hi all I have a 55' T top vertical with 104 1/4 wave radials that plays very = well. The RF pattern for this antenna has the classic doughnut shape and as=20 such has a deep null [ at least in theory

Connecting both shields together on the transmitter end should do nothing ... good or bad. The impedence of the coax shield is so high that there will be no effect on the ground/radial system. John K

This should not be a problem at all. Although it is a different configuation than yours, I have a 1/4 wave series fed vertical on 160 that has 100 quater wave radials under the antenna system. Also a
