If I have a Beverage "hub" from which I want to run several of them, is there any reason not to do the switching on the antenna side of the matching unit, rather than on the coax side? Could save som

Pete, here is my take on switching Beverages, It is a lot harder to make a switch with very good isolation at 500 ohms than it is at 50 or 75 ohms. You need very good isolation between connections so

Hi Pete, As long as your relays have decent isolation, even for high impedances, it may even be better to switch the Bev wires themselves. That way you don't share the ground at the feed end, and avo

seems you are talking about building a hub/switch for beverages. I asked several times here about commercial options and I found the RAS8x2 (too big for me) and the DXPedition II by KD9SV Finally I h

Im currently using a pair of Ameritron RCS 4's and their isolation is horrible as designed. Im working on my own design using cheap 1 GHz relays with 70dB of isolation at HF. Then I can also reduce t

You got my attention there. I want to build a K9AY array and maybe a 2-wire beverage at some point, so I would really like to know... Where can I find such relays? :) -- All rights reversed. ________

I picked up 2 dozen 24VDC DIP style at a local hamfest after running home with one and testing isolation. They were $1 each. Look in Mouser, DigiKey, Allied and other catalogs to find model # and spe

I use an RCS-4 but I replaced the remote antenna switch box with my own using $1.25 relays from Allelectronics. The remote box is a  small plastic one  also from Allelectronics. The isolation is supe

it may even be better to switch the Bev wires themselves. That way you don't share the ground at the feed end, and avoid any common impedance coupling. I agree. I've done this since installing my fir
