I was listening to the JD1 this AM as it was a country many still need to work. He was calling CQ at about 30 WPM with few takers. His signal was weak and the 30 WPM just made it worse for me. Many D

My question is, what is the Greg, I agree, the fast keying rings in bad conditions and narrow filters here in the tropics, very slow speeds used by many and the QSB eats the signal. 20 wpm is a good

I agree--20 WPM a good working speed so the crashes don't wipe out the dits. Even a little slower might be best. S9SS runs slower, and makes LOTS of SOLID contacts where one knows if the contact is "
