For the record, though, the use of Loctite to secure a fastener is not considered sufficient for aviation use. There are only three approved methods: 1) Castellated nuts and cotter pins 2) Nyloc nuts

As well as locking the threads, Loctite is designed to seal them against penetration by water and moist air, so it's one of the best things you can possibly do to prevent corrosion. Nyloc nuts. That
