Comments:
One day is NOT enough learning time before attempting to use an
FT-1000MP in a contest! Everything worked, the solar indices
looked fair...where were the conditions? For relatively low A/K,
15 was a disappointment, with many signals right at the noise
level. Things being so slow, we never were in jeopardy with
excess QTCs. 80 meters was very quiet both nights. 40 seemed
normal. 20m produced an unexpected strong opening at about 06Z
on Saturday, but then the expected 12-14Z peak never occurred.
15m was a disappointment, but at least there was enough activity
to work a decent amount of multipliers. 10m displayed strange
late in the day openings on Saturday at 18Z and 20Z...nothing
on Sunday at all.
Thanks to Sig, N3RS for the use of his station, and to John, W3UM
for the Saturday night relief.
