SOAPBOX:
As noticed by the very most of people, 80m. propagation was very poor,
nothing to compare with the '96 one on the lower bands.
Openings on higher bands reduced a lot the 80m. traffic, but still I had
a good contest and I did enjoy it a lot.
So....a great THANK YOU to all the stations wo did come on 80 and QSO !!
Beverages did perform very well including those to Africa and south America
giving me the chance to catch the very few active stations from there.
Over 200 USA worked, but even "beacons" like KC1XX, N2RM, W4MYA didn't
have their usual huge signal, incredible signals by ZM7A instead.
Sorry for some USA calling me the last 2 hours of contest, I couldn't switch
on the NW beverage.
