Soapbox: Well, it was fun again!!  But the 840 leaves a lot to be desired
         in a SSB contest.  No filters!! My ears are still ringing.  Any
         one want to trade a good fixed station radio for a good mobile??
         Only got to operate 13 hours and about 12 and 1/2 of those were  
         S/P.  Where were the Eastern VE's??????
