Hi everybody;
Every contest I like more and more my new X9 antenna from Cushcraft. Last
year I bought the new WRITELOG program, maybe was one of the best thinks I
did, congratulations!!!! is much better than anyone. The most important for
me is that this time I will send the logs, because last one, WF1B program
deleted all WXP_RTTY_1998 files, keep atention if you want to rename your
files!!!!!!.
Any way, during this test was a little booring, because no real DX was in
it. No africans, no asians..... I did not work so rare countries this time.
Was funny to "type" with YL8M asking if this year he will leave me win the
contest, hi hi.
Equipement used:

AL-82 ( máx power allowed ) / No linear

X9 from Cuscraft with aditional kit for 40 meters
Slooper for 80 meters
****Computer/Software
Pentium II 333
Writelog software ( mode 2 rigs )
1º Modem: Kam +
2º Modem: Soundbalster
I live in a flat, in a Barcelona area, Noise from cars, power lines,
lights....... I would see the antennas of my competitors!!!!
Errors:
1.-Thought that last hours of contest could be full of people calling, not
true. So I did not use correctly all 30 hours. In fact I was 30 hours; 1800
minutes on, but last 2 hours was booring.
2.-I prepared all equipements the last day ( as usual ), for that reason I
could not not connect the cluster, the Telnet was impossible to run with it
( computer problems ) and so.... ( I did the same last year, I will never
learn!!!!! )
3.-I was unable to transmit with the second transceiver. I could read
only, no transmit, I supose I lost 25 or 30 new prefix so 25 or 30 new
multipliers. ( #!!@!!|%&"## )
Funny:
1.- I worked 300 diferents prefix the first day, I thought that could work
almost 200 more the second day, but..... only 100 on sunday, hard to find
more!!!!!. I loose HL´s and I saw on my second rig GU0SUP, I could´t find
again.....
