during use)
# of Contacts: 885 CW + 818 Phone = 1703 Total QSO's
Bonus Points = 800
Total Claimed Score = 5976
Equip: Kenwood 850, CW tuned quad @ 45 feet and SSB tuned 4 ele. Yagi @
45 feet, plus dipoles on 40m & 80m @ 60 feet (?) in the Ponderosa Pines.
(Plus, equip. & ants. for the Satellite contacts.)
Quad was fixed to E/NE and Yagi to NW the entire time. These antennas
were switchable and run parallel thru a "T" at the operators
inclination. Usually left together, half power to each, but wider
"beamwidth".
Operated about 23 hours total, localized T-Storm shut us down. After the
storm was believed to have passed, a corona discharge across the
operating tent's framework dazzled (?!!) operator Fred, KT5X. He swears
it was a foot long....you will have to ask him!

Bob Norton, N5EPA
