Antennas:
10/15/20m D-3 rotatable dipole @ 40 ft
15m 'homebrew" 3 el monoband beam @ 25ft
40m E/W wire dipole @ 35 ft
80m inverted vee (broadside N/S) apex ~ 38ft
160m 55 ft top hat loaded wire vertical @ about 30 deg angle from
vertical
Short version:
10m not open/very noisy - 2 local Q's.
15m open but apparently not to the right places
20m OK
40m Very good, but too much noise
80m OK, but way too much noise (S9+)
160m not much heard, tried to get W0ETC's attention, no luck, worked
K5RX for single Q.
Poor results on 10m and 160m really hurt scores. I get comments on 15m
of loud signal but couldn't turn it into enough Q's.
Special awards:
Only - 160m Q K5RX
10m Q's ab0mv and w0ett (tongue in cheek on these local Q's!)
If anyone has a manual and/or schematic for the HD-73 control box I'm happy to
cover costs to have one sent to me! Shorted two connectors together just as I
got it set up. It still turns, but the azimuth indicator thinks it's gone 360
deg when it has only turned 180!
73's
chris, n4vi
