Comments:
Condx were great at the start with the rate meter
approaching 90 at times in the first and second hour. Heard the
T-storms before they rolled through a BOLT of BRIGHT EMP caught my
attention out the window. A brief storm ensued and after it cleared it
was safe to operate but the bands were noisy. 20 was tough. Kudos to
N6MU for the almost sweep with cw/ssb qsos on 40-10, LY3BA for a bunch
of Qs. After the T-storms it appeared many choose not to get back on
because of QRN. 80 was almost a total washout here and I cashed it in
about a half hour early.
Great fun, lots of stations on and lots of non-contest guys glad
to give you a QSO. Also, had a chance to talk to many guys for a bit
when usually you work and move on. A few more Qs and mults than last
year but the condx in the second half hurt. Tnx to the 'mobile
maruaders' who provided many a mult. CU next year
