Comments:
I wasn't even going to operate this one but around 0200 Z decided to see what
the "mess" sounded like. Wound up staying up till midnight and was back at it
at 1430 Z. What a blast! I accomplished my goals of 500 Qs and a sweep. I told
my last QSO,N9US, that I had accomplished my goals and that I was "outta here".
He laughed and congratulated me and I pulled the switch. I'll do it again next
year for sure. NWT and SC were the two toughest. Thanks to N4AGG for SC, and
VY1MB for NWT. What a rush to have a needed section station come back to your
CQ ! While I was hunting SC, I had several "4" stations come back to my
"needing South Carolina" CQ and my heart would pound at the prospect of them
being a SC station. Eventually, SC was worked as a lone answer to my CQ and I
knew who it was, as I had chased him around the band for an hour but kept
missing him. I hope that VY1MB didn't think I was too much of a flake for my
reaction when I made the "Clean Sweep" due to his QSO. I told him what had
happened and wished him Merry Christmas! I'm sure the excitement in my voice
was evident. The roller coaster was a ball and I am now hooked! :)
