Comments:

This thing is soooo much fun. The activity tonight was outstanding. It was
hard to get stations I called since so many others were calling, and I got beat
out a lot. Had trouble with big pile ups when I stood by for a "jump ball,"
especially on 40 meters, where it was a total zoo, and had to call several "?s"
to sort 'em out.

There were four of us from the Austin area on, with K5NA joining K5OT, W5JAW,
and myself. K5NA and K5OT both are at least forty miles away and are not loud
here with 100 Watts. W5JAW is about 15 miles away and is fairly loud, but I
got beat out at least twice calling him.

I finally broke through the sixty QSO barrier, and was not even aware of it
until the contest was over. I called a CQ at 02:59:30 on 1812 and K5NA
answered me for my last one. It was a super way to end up.

My ten minute segments were 20-20-20 so things were quite nicely linear.

Stations worked the most: N9CK 8, W9RE 5, K5NA 4. There were six stations
worked 3 times. The activity is so good now that it is unusual to contact one
station as often as 8 times, but N9CK is a super operator and seems to be
everywhere! The propagation was good to the midwest as the 9s were strong along
with VA3NR.

Thanks to the NCCC for sponsering this terrific event, and to all excellent
operators who were on.

73, Jim N3BB
