Total score with bonus points...
First FD with the new call, and only the second solo op. I had a good time but
should have slept more prior to the weekend! I was just dying for a while in
the 0300's Z. Eventually got going for the night shift but really could have
made a lot more contacts if I'd been awake and if I didn't have to keep pulling
the coax for thunderstorms. I was being a bit of a wimp in that regard but
better safe than vaporized, eh? All Q's made with 20-50W; I was trying to
conserve battery power. 1B MDC needs a lot of repeats; I dunno if it would
have been helped by an extra 3dB... I kind of doubt it.
Stayed dry, made s'mores, made a few Q's... all in all a good time. Next year,
more sleep and a more serious operating effort.
