Comments:

Friday was the best night by far. Spent most of the time testing out the new
low band antennas and receiving array. The 40m beam was fixed at 45 degrees
which made the pacific openings tough. Spent most of the day Saturday putting
up a 160m vertical and managed to work HC8N, EA8, CT9L on 160. Only 6 band
station was HC8N. The 40m beam seemed to play well. The 80m V seemed to get
out well. Worked just about all I heard except for the huge pileups on the 5A7
and other Africans. Got up too late on both mornings to work much from the
west. Lots of cqing in my face well after sunrise.

The DX Eng 4 square array works very well. I have it optimized for 160/80/40
with 70 ft sides.

Hopefully the SteppIR will go up soon and I will have a decent antenna for the
high bands. The R8 vertical is ok but it sure is not a beam!

Disturbing trend.....too many folks calling more than one time and many who
just do not listen!

Lots of fun! See you in the next one.
