Second-best September VHF score (after 2005, when we had Es, AU, and
tropo). High points: K9MRI/4 with signals like a local; pulling
W4IY out of the noise on 2. 6 meters was in better shape for tropo
than usual. FSK441A skeds were less successful than usual; would have
been better off spending more of Saturday evening on tropo. Otherwise,
a very enjoyable contest. (Contrary to rumor, I did not have any Es
contacts on 6; worked K1WHS, K1TEO, and WA2FGK on FSK441A.) One missing
nearby grid: EN70.
"I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations for
Amateur Radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the best
of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the ARRL Awards
Committee."
