Each week I do more antenna work - this week I replaced Trandworld 2010
Adventurer portable with a full sized Cushcraft R7 vertical. I got 4 QSO's on
20M tonight so maybe it helped.
Still could not break 1,000 points from my city lot. Gotta wait until the
next Sprint Ladder I guess. I sent the 2nd IC-735 to Icom this week to repair
the receiver. When I get it back I will go for SO2R next season - maybe that
will get me over the 1,000 point hump.
Nice to get a few new/rare calls in the log this week: NN7SS, W5ZL, N5RR,
W4AU, and my PVRC #1 teammate N1LN to name a few.
Thanks to Bill N6ZFO for another successful NSL! Seems like the participation
keeps going up and up. I really look forward to NS each week - this is a great
event - absolutely the best 30 minutes in radio.
