Brand new radio....first QSO was in the contest :)
Friday night conditions to EU were very good. Even better were conditions to
JA/Asia following EU sunrise. I worked 8 JA's, two UA0's, NH2, T30, ZL,
etc...with 100W from the Midwest. Unfortunately, not much activity outside of
EU. Very little Pacific/Oceana except for KH6, no VK, and Africa was absent as
well.
I entered Assisted category. The number of bad spots by the skimmer network
was apalling. I was spotted many times when I was calling DX stations. An
evolving technology I guess!
