Comments:

Six meter E clouds are so dang fickle. Got quite a few FT8 answers to CQs but
only once, so no QSO. Saturday produced what has been common Es prop to the SW
US from here lately, but that was it. Sunday was a bust. Heard a few 5s and 6s
but for only brief spurts and no answers. The PNW really drew the short stick in
this one. Most of the rest of NA had decent openings, according to DXmaps.com.
Only a few nearby 6m vets like Lance W7GJ and John W7KNT were making Qs when the
band seemed dead. Watched John snag a few EA stns. Guess I need stacked 12 ele
yagis to hear those boys and 1.5 kW to work em. A single 5ele at 40ft and 100w
just doesn't cut it. Waiting for 6 to stop being such a tease and offer some
real action.
