Comments:
My goal was to reach 1500 QSOs + 2000 QTCs (with 920 multis) and break the
continental record. Goal achieved :-)
I focused on QTCs and multis, SO2R, one radio chasing DX stations for QTCs and
the other to run/S&P/hunting multis. Although being obliged to stop
transmitting, with the other transceiver, for at least one minute to complete a
QTCs exchange, I very often found "my" run frequency still free and if
someone was installed, it was not very complicated to find another one (the
bands are less overloaded every bands are open).
In the same way, I had programmed my rest periods according to the DX openings
and where it would be potentially possible to exchange the most QTC.
I asked for QTC exchanges to EVERY DX stations (even with QRP ones) even during
my own run, it's much better to do a 10 "QSO/QTC" per minute than a 3
per minute without QTC (in the best case) just because one or 2 others are
calling (don't worry, they'll come back later).
The propagation could have been better given what we have been able to observe
in recent weeks.
From the forecast, I thought the propagation would be better on Sunday than
Saturday, but in the end, the second was rather disappointing (otherwise score
would have been much better --> less DX = less QTC).
