The problem is the change from a pure reactance to dominant 
resistance takes place too slowly Lars.

It might work if the parasitic was very widely separated from the 
operating frequency, such as in a tube that oscillates at VHF 
used in a circuit designed to operate at audio.

I've been unsuccessful using ferrites with common tubes at HF, sharply 
resonant suppressor actually work best. Ferrites are used to de-Q 
cavity tank systems, and actually built into some tubes.
