Those of you looking to build a high pot tester looking for a transformer
source, try neon sign manufacturers or traders. They have quite of few cheap
transformers imported from the huge far east neon market. You generally can
get secondary voltages of 7000v and 15000v centre tapped with 30ma current
rated completely potted in metal case with high voltage insulator outputs,
some come with rectifiers. These units are quite robust, some running 24hrs
for years.
