FWIW, both Harris & Continental for their bdcst xmtrs generally spec the
rectifiers and buy them as complete units from the manufacturer. I
noticed that the Continental stacks I recently bought had done away with
both the resistor and capacitor shunts. The original unit (15 years old)
had both. At $450 per stack (3 in each rig) it's easy to pick the best
parts. They seem to last longer this way, too (unless your roof leaks
into the cabinet!).
