Maybe it really isn't dead at all.  Or maybe it's just plain pooped.
What's the expected life span of an 8877 if operated within recommended
[patterns]. - sorry, I meant guidelines.  My daughter was talking in one
ear about wallpaper "patterns" while I typed that.
