Hi all,
I'm new to the list and tried to send this query once allready, hope I =
didn't send it twice !
I was surprised to read the article in the referenced web page about the =
need to swap "spare" final tubes in our amps every year to prevent =
gassing problems. I would appreciate your input on this subject. In my =
case, I have spare 572b's, 8877's stored away and it wouldn't be =
practical to=20
rotate/swap them into my amps every year. If this is really a problem, =
would it be a workable scheme to make a chassis with the tube sockets =
for the finals and simply feed filament voltage to the tubes for several =
days ? I could see doing something like this every year to maintain the =
finals ? Any ideas ?
