After thorough inspection and cleaning, turn it on and let it stay for
several (4-6) hours. Let the filament warm the tubes up. Then apply the HV
and let it stay for about 6-8 hours (do not apply any drive!) - this
procedure will burn the molecules of oxigen, which might have accumulated
over 10 years.
