The 955 tube is very common. Still available new in oroginal box. AES has
some. These old tubes are easier to get than many transistors produced only 15
years ago. A lot of signal generators still use this faithful old tube. They
seem to last around 40 years or so. Probably would last 200 years if you
provided inrush protection.
