Marv, OK on the FT-1000D feed forward info. Interesting alternative. Though, 
changing around the PA in the 1000D would be a little beyond my confidence 
level unless I had a tested modification procedure. Besides, by making the 
big linear amp separate and low level in, I can then upgrade to a new 
transceiver someday and maintain the cleanliness, assuming its low level tap 
is clean... hopefully.

Let me know what you think of the GG linear chain I mentioned in the last 
post and I will procedure. I was thinking that link coupling between stages 
would give the required high impedance plate to 50 ohm cathode connections.
