Since the signal frequency is converted into a low-frequency Y deflection
signal for amplitude,
and the X deflection is the frequency sweep any 7000-series, preferably
storage,
mainframe modern enough to accept the 7L12 would work.
There was a tracking generator, TR501/502, for the 7L12, but I doubt it fitted
the 7000 mainframes directly.
