Very interesting, Steve. I sure would like to see the results when doing the
same test but with a multi-band antenna like an 80/40 meter "fan doublet".

Hi All:

NOTES:
Antenna RF link coupled to Pi tuner to 300 ohm twinlead ( about 100 ft
long )
to 80 meter dipole @ 30 feet+/-

Thought these notes would be of interest to you on the subject of harmonics.

Unit
1929 Hartley osc., 204A - output 35 RF watts at 3.872

Spectrum Analyzer, Anaritsu
Probe 5 inches from RF tank:
3.872 -14 dB
7.742 -14 dB
15.485 - 27 dB
30.9 - 48 dB

Under 80 meter dipole center at 30 feet:
3.872 -20 dB
7.7 - 50 dB

At receiving station 1 mile away: no harmonics to be found.

Regards,
Steve
