Thanks to all who came up with suggestions for me, including K1FK, N7CXI,
K5AND, and others whose calls weren't obvious from their email addresses. I
think I could build a small intergalactic cruiser with what I've found!
Among the suggested sources were:
McMaster Carr
Surplus Sales of Nebraska
Small Parts
Dan's Small Parts (I'd never heard of them, but they have some cool stuff
cheap!)
Grainger
Keystone (carried by Mouser, Digi-Key and others)
and Jameco.com.
Thanks to all!

Oddball stuff is getting harder to find these days!
I'm looking for a few shaft extensions, couplers, flexible couplers,
right
angle shaft couplers and the like for my current kluge amp project. I
used to have a variety of them, but they've been used or given away or
grown
up and left home or been lost in moves. I've looked in the Grainger and
small parts online catalogs, but I'm not seeing anything for what used to
be
standard 1/4" shafts, just big stuff. Any suggestions for?
