Why would you fry the filament by turning up the plate voltage? The plate transformer and filament transformer are separate.

I put a WD7S power supply board into my AL-82. Works perfectly. It has 10
caps on it. It also fits perfectly into the AL-82, AL-1200 and AL-1500.

You could probably even put the transformer on the "high tap" if you wanted to.

And fry the filament faster....

Yeah and I know why. There are 8 x 450V rated capacitors giving a total
working voltage of 3600V, in that bank. The plate voltage in that amp
is, at most times, higher than that. Up to 300V higher.

A pretty marginal design, to say the least.

I replaced all 8 caps in my amp, to 500V rated units and added a few
more microfarads in the process. I now have a bit of headroom in the
voltage department and a bit better dynamic regulation, resulting in
more Watts out for the same amount of drive. So far, so good.

As I remember, the entire filter capacitor board, with
capacitors and resistors installed, was very reasonably priced.
($180?) I suspect that their Rectifier Board is also reasonable.
The techs at Ameritron are very friendly, knowledgeable, and a
pleasure to deal with.

The AL-1500 manual, with schematic, is here:
