Hi Ken,
just of the top of my head and I am sure there may be many other reasons,

I would first look at the relay and tried to clean the contacts. There are contact cleaning files, but perhaps contact cleaner spray might be tried first.
73 and good luck,

My AL-1200 has developed a T/R switching issue. In about 5 out of 10
transmissions the receive does not fully come back after releasing the PTT, A click of the mike button or a dot on the paddle brings the receive back.

Any suggestions where to strat lookiong to clear this problem?

Thanks and 73,
Ken VA3KA
