REPLY:
The answer is you must control the phase relationship, i.e. they must
be identical. As long as you have identical amplifiers with identical
lengths of coax, driven with an identical signal, they work fine.
If something is different in each driver chain, you must compensate.
This can get tricky, especially in a broadband system, and it's best
not to do it.
