Thanks to everyone for the input. I am just getting acquainted with
triodes as I have very little prior experience with them, none in
the last 17 years.
I have rebuilt the input circuit and moved the connection to the
heater/cathode common. I added capacitors between there and the
other end of the heater. I have a few very minor changes to make in
control circuits, but should be back to testing later today.
