Try building a tube amp, from all new parts, no pulls, surplus or nos,
bet that will be just as, if not more expensive.
Everyone selling a built amp, or a kit, expects at least some profit.
Tube amp parts traded between fellow hams and such often has no profit
involved, or if there is it's more by chance and just offsets the giveaways.
