I recently installed the remote software for my Alpha 9500 purchased new in
2013.
The CD supplied is version 1.14.
Upon installation, noticed several of the Front Panel screen display
HEADINGS (NOT the actual values) "Flicker" ...example, band, tune, load,
meter AC, options, control
Also the SWR display will only show increments of 1 . ie. 1 or 2. Nothing in
between. Power output will show wattage including 1 decimal to the right of
0. (Example 1150.6 watts)
I've been told version 2.01 looks exactly like the 9500 front panel. What I
have, does not.
Went to Alpha website in hopes of downloading the latest version. Unable to
do so as the link for downloads was taken down.
I'm currently remoting using TeamViewer 13.
Software works to the extent of being able to remotely turn amp on/off,
switch bands, display output , plate voltage, current etc.
Questions I have..
Why the screen flickering?
Would going to a later Alpha remote software version cure the "flicker"?
How would I even get the latest version, whatever it may be? And from where?
