Apply a very fast 12VDC between the grid and filament pins.
Ive had a better than .500 batting average with tubes that werent gassy to start with.

No I can't see that. The tube "looks like" an EIMAC but not sure about that. Lettering gone.

Can you make out which grid wire or which side of the grid basket is touching the cathode or filament?
