Yes, you can use a different resistance.

However, there is a reason why they burned up. To reduce the RF voltage
across the resistors and thus reduce the possibility that replacements will
burn up, you may need to decrease the number of turns on the parasitic
suppressors.

How many turns, and of what size wire, are you now using? If these are the
stock suppresors in the FL2100, you probably need to cut the number of wire
turns in half.

How long had the linear worked before the suppressors burned up on 6 meters?
